Ruckersville Area Plan
Greene County and the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission are kicking off a planning study for the Ruckersville area. The planning process will focus on developing a set of realistic recommendations that will enhance the quality of life for residents and strengthen the local economy. The ultimate goal is to have a plan that provides a 10-year road map for how Ruckersville should grow, attract new business, and improve access to utilities and services.
The planning process will be guided by an advisory council made up of community leaders, business owners, homeowners, and technical experts, along with input from the public and elected officials.
Upcoming scheduled events include:
- Advisory Council: The first advisory council meeting will be held on September 8, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Blue Ridge Café (8315 Seminole Trail). The public is welcome to attend and observe.
- Public Meeting: The first public open house will be held on October 3, 2017 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express (5920 Seminole Trail). The public is encouraged to attend and participate in the initial vision development of the Ruckersville Area Plan.
