  Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the legislative body of Greene County and sets policies to serve the interest of its citizens.

  Clerk of the Court

The Clerk's Office handles all land records, marriage licenses and qualification of Executors and Administrators of estates recorded since 1838.

  Commissioner of the Revenue

The Commissioner of the Revenue is a state constitutional officer and is the chief assessing officer of the local government.

  Commonwealth’s Attorney

The Commonwealth's Attorney's main job is to prosecute criminal cases in each of the three court's in Greene County's system.

  Sheriff's Office

The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency serving Greene County, Virginia.

  Treasurer

The Treasurer is responsible for collecting and accounting for all revenues received by the County of Greene.

The Erosion and Sediment Control Department is responsible for enforcing and for the protection of state waters and downstream properties from erosion and sedimentation.

  Finance

The Finance Department is responsible for maintaining Greene County's general accounting system and financial records.

  Parks & Recreation

The Parks & Recreation Department seeks to enrich the quality of life for all members of the community by offering leisure activities and special events.

  Planning & Zoning

The Planning and Zoning Department provides guidance to the appointed Boards and Commissions in developing the vision of Greene County.

  Social Services

The Social Services Department provides many varied programs and assistance for families, children and adults in need.

  Solid Waste Management

The Solid Waste Maintenance Department offers maintains and operates a full service recycling center in Greene County.

  Stormwater Management

The Stormwater Management Department is responsible for enforcing and for the protection of state waters and downstream properties from erosion and sedimentation.

  Vehicle Maintenance

The Vehicle Maintenance Department handles all maintenance repairs for the county and for the Greene County Schools.

  Voter Registration

The General Registrar's Office is to provide opportunities for all qualified citizens to register to vote and by maintaining accurate and current voter registration records.

  Water & Sewer

The Greene County Water & Sewer Department will be transferring from their current RSA provider to the newly formed department with no disruption to service.
